AppendixThis appendix is to help my readers better understand what’s going on in my stories. Not everyone (in the story) realizes Simion is from another dimension. The furs he encounters are not going to stop and ponder every difference, especially when they lack Simion’s point of view and vice versa. Just as in the course of natural conversation, no one is going to sit down and analyze what’s different and what’s the same from Simion’s frame of reference, nor as readers should you expect them to do so. How many times has someone invited you to their house, and during normal conversation, asked you to observe differences between your house and theirs? Zero, I bet. With that said, it is the duty of the narrative to explain some things that are vital, but once you explain them, it would be an insult to the readers of the entire series to keep explaining that situation over and over again. And so, here’s a run-down on the state of the world for Simion, from our point of view. |
